Whenever I get the opportunity to capture family photos, I can’t help but “happy dance”. These are, after all, the memories most cherished throughout the years.However, when you trust me with your first family photo session ever. Well, that just makes my heart sing! Recently, I had the pleasure of working with the Perez family for their new family photos. Packing my bags, I grabbed my equipment and headed to stunning, Wind Wolves Preserve in Bakersfield.

That’s because the natural surroundings have been preserved to maintain all the beauty the land has to offer. No matter the season, the preserve has a gorgeous backdrop to offer. Hills of purple and yellow dance in the wind as Spring passes through the valley. Autumn brings the crisp cool air and fiery leaves of crimson. The blistering heat of Summer has the ability of painting the hills gold. Everywhere you look, there is a picture perfect location to utilize. And today, the Perez family is going to discover first hand just how remarkable it truly is.

Yasmeen, Edgar & Nathan are an absolutely adorable family. Nathan is a charming young boy with the cutest personality to match. Yasmeen and Edgar are breathtaking, their love and Wind Wolves Preserve was the perfect pairing. From the moment you meet the Perez family, you know they are going places. And they wasted no time putting their love on display. Because the preservation has so much to offer, we were able to utilize some of the most charming locations to tell their story more intimately. So much of the authenticity captured in photo comes from just being yourself. And that’s the beauty of it. These memories are meant to be filled with genuine love and laughter. So much so, that going into it without any experience at all is really the perfect way for a family to capture the best memories.
